Delhi Makeup Artist – Shruti Kukreja

Makeup Artist Shruti Kukreja Is Taking Beauty World By The Storm And How.

The easiest way to transform yourself is through makeup. It is the best way to express yourself. And with the festive season right around the corner, a new makeup look is just what you need.

Shruti Kukreja is here to guide you to achieve the perfect base for a festive glow and that radiant lit-from-within look. Diwali is the time of the year to have fun with your makeup. Shruti Kukreja with her solid portfolio and boundless creativity is here to teach you how to be your own best MUA.

Based in Delhi, Shruti Kukreja primarily caters to bridal makeup using the best products from renowned brands like Huda Beauty, Jaclyn Hill, Nars, Tarte, Kevyn Aucoin, Lakme, MAC and more. She is extremely well-known in Delhi and famous for her stunning coral looks, non-cakey base and effortless bridal makeup. Her style is distinctly classy and subtle. She also loves experimenting with monochromatic looks. She considers makeup to be a form of art that doesn’t need to adhere to any trend. She says, “Makeup is like art. An easy canvas to express yourself so use your creativity and experiment new looks. Even when I work with current trends, I never bind myself to those and always try to make something of my own. I want to teach this to everyone. Trends are for the anxious and as long as you know your colours, tones and tints, you’re good to go. I believe it’s time the industry gets an infusion of new blood into it that will shake everything up!”

Therefore, besides weddings, she has also lent her expertise in teaching makeup. She is currently teaching millennials during this pandemic. She started her career in Europe, first by joining Scandinavian Makeup Academy and then by working in Barcelona. She soon emerged as a pioneer in the world of makeup and fashion. Using the best of products and her expert skills, her work is nearly magical. It is no surprise she was popular with European clients and now she is the same with her Indian clients!

The makeup artist has now decided to share her skills by introducing her European and American techniques that are affordable, convenient and interesting. In order to provide a platform to newcomers, she is looking to teach and advance the skills of other makeup artists. For this purpose, she opened an institution named Shruti Kukreja Makeup Institute (SKMI) in Delhi. Through this initiative, Shruti is offering a wide range of basic courses from beginner courses for novices to advanced courses for professionals.

Shawls

Shawls – A Popular Art Deco Accessory

One of the most versatile items in history, the shawl is a beautifully stylish accessory that was incredibly popular during the 1920s. While available in many different varieties, a shawl was a must-have item in the Art Deco period. They not only enhanced every look, they also kept women warm when temperatures started to drop.

Shawls rose to popularity in the 1920s and remain a stylish way to add retro-inspired style to any look.

Art Deco Details

The Art Deco period was heavily influenced by the exotic styles of far off lands. Because of this, Egyptian and Oriental elements were often incorporated into clothing and accessories that were popular during this time. The shawl is no exception – this Art Deco accessory often featured delicate beading and patterns that complimented other garments that were popular during this time period.

https://img1.wardrobeshop.com/5047-home_default/faux-fur-bridal-wrap-with-ivory-cream-fox.jpgTypically made of a delicate fabric like silk, chiffon, or organza, scarves were draped over the shoulders and arms of women when they wanted to remain slightly covered while wearing sleeveless gowns. The beading and beautiful patterning also imparted a luxurious look that enhanced any outfit.

Later in the decade, a lightweight Kimono-style jacket would also rise to popularity. These items would include arm holes so they more closely resembled a light jacket. These shawls were typically longer and sometimes were nearly floor length. No matter the style of shawl women wore, these accessories almost always included rich colors, luminous beading, and fringe at the hem for added movement and detail.

Fabulous Furs

When the weather turned cold, women in the 1920s stayed warm by donning shawls made of luxurious furs. Incredibly soft and https://css.wardrobeshop.com/5048-home_default/faux-fur-wrap-in-grey-chinchilla.jpgdecadent, these items allowed women to stay cozy and still look fashion forward when in their outerwear. The capelet was a variation on the shawl, and was a feminine accessory that also draped the shoulders. While these capelets or stoles would be worn simply, they sometimes featured a jeweled brooch to keep them closed.

Today, capelets are slowly coming back into style, with many brides opting to wear them on a winter wedding day. Modern fur shawls are also more environmentally friendly and are manufactured from faux fur for added appeal. Fur shawls are a gorgeous way to enhance your winter wardrobe and put an Art Deco twist on any outfit when the weather turns cold.
