Luxury Stay in the heart of New Delhi, India

Featured

The Park hotel is located in the heart of the city in Connaught Place, New Delhi. It is a luxury 5-star hotel with elegant spaces decked up with contemporary art and has the finest ambience in New Delhi. Hotel is inspired by five elements of nature. It is close to the Central Park, Madame Tussaud, Jantar Mantar, Palika Bazaar, Janpath Market, National Museum, 3 km from the iconic India Gate landmark and 5 km from the British-era Lodi Gardens. The Indira Gandhi International Airport is 13 km and New Delhi Railway Station is 2 km away.

Hotel Staff and Guest’s body temperature are monitored at hotel entry points. Check-in process is super smooth. I stayed in the Deluxe Suite for 2 days and the experience was fabulous. The suite is aesthetically decorated and has LCD TVs, free Wi-Fi, coffee or tea maker and refrigerator. Suite has Japanese style bathtub 🛀 with rain shower, hair dryer and toiletries. It has a separate living area with individual work desk, luggage area and huge closet space. The panoramic city view (including Jantar Mantar) from the suite is breathtaking. Suite also includes complementary access to the Residence Lounge.

The hotel has 4 restaurants – Mist, Aqua, Fire & Agni and provides several amenities: spa, a salon, gym, gift shop, an outdoor pool and banquet halls. Mist offers everything from Italian, Mediterranean, Indian and the delicious dessert menu cannot be missed. Their Smoked Schezwan Prawns 🍤 and Grilled Salmon are highly recommended 😋 Fire restaurant brings you a magnificent blend of Indian food with contemporary flavours. This menu is currently available at Mist as well. Aqua is an awarding winning restaurant wherein you can relax and enjoy at the luxurious poolside cabana. Experienced scrumptious High Tea at Aqua Restaurant.

Also do try their Picnic lunch in the suite and breakfast at the Residential lounge with spectacular views. Chicken Caesar Salad, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Chicken Dimsums, Chicken Sandwiches, Smoked Chicken Pizza and Cold Coffee are highly recommended. This hotel is a paradise for foodies.

The hotel staff is polite and room service is super quick. Absolutely enjoyed my stay at this beautiful luxurious property in the heart of Delhi 🙂

My Yoga story on International Yoga Day

I always thought Yoga is another fancy word in the world of fitness which made me quite skeptical if Yoga will be of any advantage to me but since it was being promoted on a regular basis, it increased my curiosity to atleast try one session of Yoga. I am glad I did that since I felt refreshed.

Over the years, Yoga has helped my body in gaining flexibility, building strength, being stress-free, energetic and remain fit. Thereafter, I also tried Aerial Yoga which demanded greater control over body. It increases full-body flexibility and strength. The hammock itself allows you to go deeper into the stretches and poses, further enhancing full-body flexibility #AerialYoga. This might look easy but was very difficult.

Realizing all the benefits, I encouraged my Mom also to start practicing Yoga. This International Yoga Day, I would like every individual to attend Yoga sessions and practice the same.

Delicious Indian food from Pitaara Kitchen, South Delhi

Ordered some delicious Indian food from Pitaara Kitchen, delivery outlet located in South Delhi. Food was packed and labeled well. Staff ensured timely delivery.

Fake ‘Wasabi’ Paneer – Fresh cottage cheese chunks marinated in mock green-pea wasabi and cheese. These kebabs were super succulent. MUST TRY!!

Recheado Potato – Baby potatoes in a sweet and spicy masala with a hint of tamarind.

Calcutta Potato-Keema Chop – Pan fried potato cutlets stuffed with spicy keema. This dish is inspired from the Anglo-Indian community of Kolkata.

Govind Gatte – A dish made with gram flour and cooked in a yoghurt and onion curry. This was served with kurkuri bhindi and Bajra Phulka.

Chicken Tikka Masala – Boneless chicken breast stuffed with chicken keema and cooked in makhani curry. This went well with their Pudina Paratha.

Dogri Meat Curry – Meat on bone cooked with spices. This is a traditional meat curry from the Dogri community of Jammu. Mutton was cooked to perfection with spices and meat was falling off the bone. Had this with Malabar Paratha.

Salted Caramel Kheer – This is something unique I have ever had. Barnyard millet, cooked with milk and sugar. Topped with date palm jaggery-salted caramel. Simply loved it! MUST TRY!!

Their food quality and quantity is highly commendable! Everything is made fresh and was tasty.

Delhi Makeup Artist – Shruti Kukreja

Makeup Artist Shruti Kukreja Is Taking Beauty World By The Storm And How.

The easiest way to transform yourself is through makeup. It is the best way to express yourself. And with the festive season right around the corner, a new makeup look is just what you need.

Shruti Kukreja is here to guide you to achieve the perfect base for a festive glow and that radiant lit-from-within look. Diwali is the time of the year to have fun with your makeup. Shruti Kukreja with her solid portfolio and boundless creativity is here to teach you how to be your own best MUA.

Based in Delhi, Shruti Kukreja primarily caters to bridal makeup using the best products from renowned brands like Huda Beauty, Jaclyn Hill, Nars, Tarte, Kevyn Aucoin, Lakme, MAC and more. She is extremely well-known in Delhi and famous for her stunning coral looks, non-cakey base and effortless bridal makeup. Her style is distinctly classy and subtle. She also loves experimenting with monochromatic looks. She considers makeup to be a form of art that doesn’t need to adhere to any trend. She says, “Makeup is like art. An easy canvas to express yourself so use your creativity and experiment new looks. Even when I work with current trends, I never bind myself to those and always try to make something of my own. I want to teach this to everyone. Trends are for the anxious and as long as you know your colours, tones and tints, you’re good to go. I believe it’s time the industry gets an infusion of new blood into it that will shake everything up!”

Therefore, besides weddings, she has also lent her expertise in teaching makeup. She is currently teaching millennials during this pandemic. She started her career in Europe, first by joining Scandinavian Makeup Academy and then by working in Barcelona. She soon emerged as a pioneer in the world of makeup and fashion. Using the best of products and her expert skills, her work is nearly magical. It is no surprise she was popular with European clients and now she is the same with her Indian clients!

The makeup artist has now decided to share her skills by introducing her European and American techniques that are affordable, convenient and interesting. In order to provide a platform to newcomers, she is looking to teach and advance the skills of other makeup artists. For this purpose, she opened an institution named Shruti Kukreja Makeup Institute (SKMI) in Delhi. Through this initiative, Shruti is offering a wide range of basic courses from beginner courses for novices to advanced courses for professionals.
