Started with some mocktails: Indane and Bunta Masala, they go literally by the name and the Indane drink was served in a miniature indane cylinder. Both drinks were refreshing.

Duo Jiao Yu – Hunan salted steamed fish with soy sauce and loads of red chillli but this is not so spicy and the fish melts in your mouth. Also you could eat the dish on its own or have it with steam rice. MUST TRY!

Tuk Tuk Krob – One of the most amazing desserts I have ever had. This was the deconstructed version with red ruby chestnuts, crackling sugar, mango duet, whipped cream and mother dairy mango milk ice candy. This was an absolute delight! MUST TRY!!

I experienced both their business and economy class and I must say both were very comfortable flights. You may also choose economy class with extra legroom seats.

Also they have a vast menu to choose from for your meals and the food served is hot and delicious. Passengers have to pay for meals in economy, either pre-paid or buy-on board.

All ScootBiz seats have in-seat power, while the airfare includes complimentary meals and a checked luggage allowance of 30 kilograms. Staff is friendly and the flight was on time. Looking forward to flying with them again.

Thailand Tourism Festival 2019

It was amazing to be a part of the opening ceremony of Thailand Tourism Festival (TTF) held at Lumphini Park in Bangkok from 23th – 27th January, 2019. It was attended by many Thai and foreign visitors. Admission to Thailand Tourism Festival 2019 is free. If you are coming by MTR, then MRT Lumphini Station is the closest.

The highlight of the festivals were great speeches by Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports.

There will be processions/parade, musical performances, delightful cuisine from all over Thailand to try. The festival starts from 12:00 – 22:00hrs, five tourism villages will display the unique and different ways of life of Thai people across the region and there will be booths where visitors can find information about Chiang Mai, Sukhothai, Surat Thani, Samut Prakan, Pathum Thani, Chachoengsao, and Udon Thani.

Central Region Zone – presents the heritage of old Siam through a traditional Thai house and the former rural way of life back in the days through demonstrations; such as, traditional garland making.

Northern Zone – showcases the beautiful handwoven cotton and silk textiles the region is famous for, presenting the intricate patterns. The zone reflects the artistic nature of the people of the North plus a range of contemporary arts inspired by the region.

Southern Zone – presenting new perspectives of the South that boldly goes beyond the beaches and islands including the secondary cities; such as, Surat Thani and Phatthalung, the hidden gems in major cities like Phuket’s Peranakan and arts in the three southernmost provinces.

Northeastern (Isan) Zone – brings Thailand’s more vibrant cuisine to life. Food is one major inspiration for travelling to this region, linking it with traditional festivals and cultural values while promoting its three main tourism clusters: North Isan, Central Isan and South Isan.

Eastern Zone – presenting new perspectives of the East under a ‘more fun’ concept through replicas of landmarks most synonymous with the region in combination with three dedicated corners for 3D photography backdrops reflecting the region’s identity.

Perhaps most importantly, there is also a ‘Reduce-Reuse-Recycle’ waste initiative zone to help raise awareness and promote responsible sustainable tourism through various activities, games and more.
